Custom columns in the channel list

How to add or edit stand, mic or phantom columns in the input and output lists.

They are a Pro/Premium feature and let you specify more detail in the channel list. You choose each column’s name and the options it offers.

Ridermaker ships three ready for the inputs:

  • Stand: SHORT, LARGE, CLAMP.
  • Mic: DI, SM58, SM57, BETA58, C414, MD421…
  • +48V: ON, OFF.

You can change those values or create other columns. For example:

  • Signal: DI, MIC, LINE.
  • Supplied by: BAND, PROMOTER.
  • … whatever you need, with the name and values you choose.

Setting them up

  1. Click the gear icon in the top bar (User settings) to open the options dialog.
  2. Under Custom columns, switch on the columns you want and give each one a name.
  3. Click the down arrow to the right of each name to see more, and fill in the options for each column with New option.

Load default List brings back the built-in microphone list; Clear List empties it so you can start with a clean list.

Using them in the list

Each channel gets a selector per column. Pick a value from the list or type any text directly into the field: it works like a normal text field, so you are never limited to the options you defined.

How the list is printed

In the same gear dialog, under “Channel list style in Rider Link & PDF”, you choose how it is printed: List, the classic layout, or Table, a more compact grid like this one.
